Pickles & Honey Counselling offers adolescent counselling services in B.C's northern community of Fort St. John.
Laura Honey has practiced in the field of youth mental health for the past fifteen years. She has worked across a variety of sectors and has come to specialize in providing clinical interventions specific to the adolescent stage of life.
P & H offers assessment, mental health screening, therapeutic interventions, and referral services so youth can thrive towards meeting their full potential.
Through the us of cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy, with a strength based approach- youth are supported in their mental, emotional, social, and behavioural development.
What is pickles & honey
P & H offers a variety of counselling services designed to meet the needs of youth in Fort St. John and through online virtual services. With a downtown Fort St. John office youth have easy access to services in their home community.
Laura Honey is a Clinical Counsellor, she has a Masters in Counselling Psychology from the University of Victoria and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the B.C. Association of Clinical Counsellors. She has completed specialized training in PTSD and Complex/Developmental Trauma through the Justice Institute of B.C. Over the years, Laura has worked in child and youth mental health programs, forensics services, special needs, social work, and frontline services. In 2010, Laura completed a Bachelors in Social Work from the University of British Columbia and has been a Registered Social Worker with the B.C. College of Social Workers since 2012. Laura has had experience with a variety of public and private systems and can assist in collaborating with care teams and community supports along with offering assessment and treatment planning.

Laura Honey offers clinical counselling services focused on providing assessment and treatment for mental, emotional, and behavioural functioning. Specific interventions are designed and implemented to meet individual needs.
Screening and referral services available if required.

Many individuals access psychoeducational groups, skills groups, and counselling groups for benefits in individual and social growth.

Consultation Services are available for groups or organizations that require information and direction in regards to psychological, social, emotional and/or behavioural areas.
